Stacie Schaible

Stacie Schaible joined News Channel 8 in January of 2000. She anchors weeknights with Keith Cate and leads the 8 On Your Side consumer problem-solver unit.

Each week, hundreds of letters, phone calls and emails flow into Eight On Your Side. For more than 20 years, News Channel 8 has been committed to helping Bay area consumers solve problems. Schaible and the Eight on Your Side staff sort through the requests and assist viewers as often as possible.

Schaible makes a special effort to reach the community, by not only reporting the news, but sharing consumer information as a guest speaker. She often emcees local charity events and enjoys the opportunity to personally meet viewers.

Stacie came to News Channel 8 in January 2000, from KXAN-TV in Austin, Texas, where she was the main anchor at 6 and 10pm weeknights. Schaible was also a main evening news anchor at WDAY-TV in Fargo, N.D. and KDLH-TV in Duluth, MN.

A Minnesota native, Stacie graduated from the University of Minnesota and has been a visiting faculty member at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies in St. Petersburg.

The beach and Bay area golf courses are where you'll find Stacie in her spare time. She lives in Tampa with her husband, son and daughter. She says her two young children provide plenty of material to feed Stacie's scrapbooking habit.
