Sports reporter/anchor Dave Reynolds grew up just outside Chicago in Park Forest, Ill., and graduated from Iowa State University. He played high school football, basketball, tennis and golf before settling on college tennis. He played No. 1 singles for the Cyclones as a senior and finished second in the Big Eight in doubles that season.
Dave began his broadcasting career as a sports reporter with WLBT-TV in Jackson, Miss. He moved to WXVT-TV in Greenville, Miss., as the No. 1 sports anchor and from there, he spent two years at WEHT-TV in Evansville, Ind. Before accepting the position at News Channel 8 in April 2003, Dave had moved to WLKY i Louisville, Kentucky. While there, he hosted a 30-minutes Sports Sunday show, and also covered 10 NCAA basketball tournaments, the Kentucky Derby eight times, the Indianapolis 500, Brickyard 400, Breeders Cup, Major League Baseball playoffs and two PGA championships.
