Bill Ratliff is an Anchor and Morning News Managing Editor for News Channel 8.

He co-anchors News Channel 8 Today and The News Channel 8 Midday Report." As a Managing Editor he helps shape morning news coverage for News Channel 8. Since coming to work for WFLA-TV in 1982, Ratliff has received numerous awards for his reporting and anchoring. He has won two national first place awards from Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America, a Florida Emmy nomination, the "Communicator of the Year" award from the Tampa chapter of Toastmasters International and various awards from the Associated Press and United Press International.

A 39-year broadcasting veteran, Bill came to WFLA from WFAA-TV in Dallas, Texas, where he worked as a news anchor/reporter and as a co-host and field producer for the highly successful "PM Magazine." Prior to that, Ratliff was a news anchor/reporter and host of a daily talk show at WDIV-TV in Detroit, Michigan. He also worked as a news anchor/reporter at WKYT-TV, in Lexington, Kentucky and held on-air positions at WLWT-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio. He began his broadcasting career in radio, working at stations in Cincinnati and New Orleans, Louisiana.

Ratliff received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with a major in Broadcasting from the University of Cincinnati.

During his time in Tampa, Ratliff has been active in various civic groups and organizations in the community. He has served on the Board of Trustees of the Academy of the Holy Names and the Jesuit High School Foundation. He also has been the president of two Little Leagues, as well as a Little League coach.

Ratliff is married and has two grown children. Besides his family and work, Ratliff's other passion is golf.
