Krista Klaus

Krista Klaus is a general assignment and political reporter for News Channel 8. She joined WFLA-TV in May of 2007 after spending 10 years as a broadcast reporter in Kansas City. Her previous television stations include KMBC-TV and KCTV. She is also a business print reporter whose stories have appeared in Midwest Airlines in-flight magazine, the Kansas City Business Journal and Expansion Management Magazine.

Krista received a Master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in Evanston, IL. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas.

A highlight of Krista’s career is attending a 3-week Broadcasting Fellowship program in Germany through the Radio Television News Directors Foundation. As a print investigative reporter, her work has been recognized by the Heart of America Press Club and American Cities Business Journals.

Krista is passionate about poetry, pilates and adult Christian education. She lives in Tampa with her husband, four young children, and the family’s beloved Labradoodle, Bella.
