Deputies: 2 people killed in Lake Worth; suspect kills self

LAKE WORTH, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say a suspected shooter took his own life shortly after a double homicide in Lake Worth.

The Palm Beach Post (http://pbpo.st/1IYtp3B ) reports two people were killed Sunday afternoon at a house on 17th Avenue. Authorities did not identify the victims or the suspect Sunday evening or discuss a possible motive. They say they believe the shooter and the victims knew one another.

Authorities say shortly after the shooting, the suspect drove to the intersection of Military Trail and Southern Boulevard, got out of his vehicle and shot himself.

Emergency responders transported the suspect to St. Mary’s Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

Detectives say further investigation revealed that the individual who shot himself at the intersection was tied to the double homicide.
