Democrat Margaret Good wins special election House District 72

SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) – Democrat Margaret Good defeated Republican James Buchanan 52 to 44 in the 72nd House District special election Tuesday night.

With the win, the district flips from Republican to Democrat.

Good received 52.17 percent of the votes.

Buchanan received 44.80 percent of the votes.

Alison Foxall received 3.03 percent of the votes.
