Accident injures 3 of 10 people involved on Bayshore Blvd.

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Tampa police are investigating an accident along Bayshore Boulevard that injured three people.

Police say a man in a pickup truck was driving recklessly and struck five cars before stopping.

The first collision occurred in the southbound lane near S Caroline Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard. The man in the pickup rear ended another driver.

The driver continued on and struck two cars near Bayshore and Bay to Bay.

The truck crossed over the median and flipped, striking two northbound cars in the process.

Of the 10 people involved in the accident, three were taken to a hospital, including the driver of the truck.

None of the injuries appear serious.

Police say the man in the pickup truck may have had a medical issue that may have caused him to lose control of his vehicle.
