LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) – A pint-sized police officer is ready to patrol the streets of Lakeland.
The Lakeland Police Department said that Officer Madylin asked to stop in after career day.. and their only response was, “what time can you get here.”
How could anyone resist after seeing six-year-old Madylin all decked out in police gear for career day at school?
The officers said they were filled with pride to see a youngster get so much happiness from dressing up and spending the day living out her dream of being part of the force.
She met several officers and event requested to meet her hero, the “top officer” or as we know him, Chief Giddens.
After Madylin and her sister, Kylie, were given plenty of officer swag, they took a look around and even got the keys to a holding cell to get a peek inside.
The Lakeland Police Officers posted these photos on Facebook and thanked Madylin for making their day.
