HUDSON, Fla. (WFLA) – A Pasco County man is accused of choking both his girlfriend and her 4-pound Chihuahua during a confrontation.
Pasco County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a home on Old Dixie Highway in Hudson on Sunday night.
Deputies say Jeremy Frank Mora, 30, of Hudson, took his girlfriend’s dog from her and grabbed the dog by the throat and squeezed until the dog defecated and passed out. His girlfriend then took the dog from Mora and he shoved her twice before grabbing her around the throat. Deputies say Mora cut off his girlfriend’s airflow for 10 seconds. She fought back until Mora released her.
Mora then took a silver pocket knife from his pants pocket, opened it and closed it repeatedly, while making comments that he wanted to kill her. His girlfriend got away from Mora and ran outside to call 911, according to an arrest affidavit.
Mora was arrested on charges of domestic battery by strangulation and aggravated battery.
Deputies say Mora told them he was sorry he did it.
