HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Investigators with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office have issued an arrest warrant in connection with last month’s murder of a Tampa Bay area woman whose body was found in a ditch.

James Luis Scott, a 22-year-old violent repeat offender, is considered armed and dangerous. He is facing one count of first-degree premeditated murder in the death of Evelyn Woodham. Her body was discovered in a ditch in Palm River on Nov. 1.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a $3,000 reward for information that leads to Scott’s arrest. Authorities say the suspect is no stranger to law enforcement and was already on felony probation at the time of this incident.

Since 2012 Scott has been arrested 20 times in Hillsborough County on a variety of charges including drug possession, tampering with a witness, operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license, assault and battery.
