Tampa kidnapping and robbery suspect appears in court

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – The man accused in the SoHo kidnapping and robbery crime had his first appearance Sunday morning.

Tampa Police say 32-year-old Johnathan Rogers beat, robbed and kidnapped a woman a week ago. His arrest was announced Friday.

A list of charges the judge read off include:
-one count of kidnapping
-one count of robbery
-two counts of video voyeurism.
He was denied bond for the kidnapping charge. Since Rogers was out of jail on bond for the voyeurism charges while these new crimes occurred, his bond for other charges was set at $500,000.

A public defender represented Rogers.
