Three St. Pete waterways unsafe for swimming because of bacteria

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) – Testing revealed three St. Petersburg waterways have higher-than-acceptable bacterial levels.

Officials said Salt Creek, Lassing Park and and Fossil Park have “poor water quality.” The issue is Enterococci bacteria.

People should not swim in these areas until further testing is completed.
