TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. (WFLA) – More customers have stepped forward, asking for help getting what they paid for from now-closed Solar Shield Windows.
The Tarpon Springs company shut down in September, leaving dozens of customers without windows, even thought they had already paid hefty down payments.
Two of those customers are Agnes Stribling and her neighbor Betty Jane Prince. They paid $7,500 and $1,800 respectively. They recently learned that even though they made payments in June, their windows were not even ordered.
“I’m sad,” Stribling said. “I’m frustrated.”
She’s not alone. Complaints have been streaming into Better Call Behnken, as customers complain they don’t have windows and don’t get straight answers.
At first, the women had no idea the company quietly closed its doors. 8 On Your Side tracked down the business owners in September. Jordan Richardson and Douglas Andrasik promised to make every customer whole and agreed to work with companies to get jobs finished.
But that hasn’t happened for a growing number of customers who are fed up.
When reached by phone Friday, the men once again promised to make things right. So, 8 On Your Side wants to get names of upset customers directly to the companies who can help.
If you paid for windows you don’t have, please send your information to BetterCallBehnken@wfla.com
