PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Yankee Candle is recalling thousands of products in its Luminous Collection.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the glass jar can crack after the candle is lit, posing a laceration hazard.

The products were sold for about $35 exclusively at Yankee Candle stores nationwide and online at YankeeCandle.com from Sept. 2016 through Nov. 2016.

The recall affects about 31,000 candles in the U.S. and about 300 were sold in Canada, according to the CPSC. The square candles contain a fragrant wax and three wicks. The item number is printed on the bottom of the glass jar.
