On Thursday as many as 40 vehicles were involved in a fatal Michigan pileup, officials said.
Police said weather likely contributed to the I-96 crash, which happened just outside of Detroit.
Three people died and 11 were taken to hospitals.
“We believe it to be weather related; it’s still under investigation. We believe it’s due to the slick conditions. There was white out conditions that were going on,” Livingston County Sheriff Eric Sanborn said.
