CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — Today, several Clearwater Police officers went shopping at the Clearwater Walmart to buy hundreds of toys to give to underprivileged children.
Clearwater Police Department said the carts were filled by the officers with care, knowing the children with smiling faces would be waiting for their gifts.
The CPD is connected to an annual neighborhood event, which O’Neal and Nedra Larkin hold at their house. The toys collected will end up in the hands of those who are less fortunate.
The CPD said they will be doing a lot of gift wrapping between now and when all the toys are presented on December 18.
The CPD and Walmart worked together to spread the joy this holiday season.
