PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Two Seminole Elementary School students are showing their support for our military overseas by collecting items to send to them.

Fifth-graders Graci Tubbs and Ava Spano are collecting handwritten cards, socks, hard candy, toiletries and more to put in care packages.

Items can be dropped off at these locations that have agreed to be collection sites:

  • Seminole Elementary, 10950 74th Avenue, Seminole
  • Seminole City Hall, 9199 113th Street, Seminole
  • Hendricks Enterprises, 7800 Belcher Road, Pinellas Park
  • Answered Prayers Project, 400 23rd Street South, St. Petersburg

The collection is part of a project for the students’ gifted class called Operation: Military Matters and both had immediate family members serve in the military.

To learn more about the project, you can visit the Operation Military Matters Facebook page.
