Lines form for Hatchimals at several Tampa Bay area stores

One of our crews saw dozens lined up outside of the Citrus Park Toys R Us store - some there were also waiting for the Nintendo.

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – News Channel 8 spotted lines at several Bay area stores for Hatchimals Sunday morning. Hatchimals are considered the breakout toy of the season.

Manufactured by Spin Master, the interactive birdlike toy busts out of its egg and “ages” as kids take care of it, from an infant to a toddler to a little bird-like kid. They’re flying off store shelves.

This comes following a report that several stores would get shipments and several people told us lines formed at several Toys R Us stores this morning, including Citrus Park and Wesley Chapel.

We’ll have more on this story throughout the day.
