A “pack” of heroes returned home Thursday.

Thirteen retired bomb detection dogs took their first steps on American soil in Houston after a long military tour in Kuwait.

The four-legged heroes have spent the past few years serving their nation and keeping our troops safe. Now, the pups are getting ready for a well-deserved life of rest and relaxation.

The organization Mission K-9 will work to rehabilitate and reintegrate the dogs into society. They hope to have the dogs in new homes in time for Christmas.
