Officials ask for help finding man who stabbed, killed woman in Plant City

PLANT CITY, Fla. (WFLA) – Officials are looking for a man who stabbed a 31-year-old woman to death Monday in Plant City. The incident occurred near a gray Nissan Quest. The vehicle was in the 2700 block of Sammonds Road.

Around 1:17 p.m. Monday witnesses saw the man stabbing the victim, who has been identified as Rocio Becerra, officials said.

Becerra was stabbed multiple times. She died because of her injuries, officials said.

“The suspect fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle, which was later found abandoned and recovered by law enforcement,” a spokesperson with Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s. He’s about 5’8″ with a medium build. He has dark hair.
