Pit bull attacks Pasco deputy

HUDSON, Fla. (WFLA) – Pasco County Sheriff’s Office has responded to a home in Hudson where a man was attacked by a dog.

Authorities say PCSO received a call of a man being attacked by a pitbull dog at a residence. When a deputy arrived at the scene, the dog then tried attacking her.

That’s when deputies say she fired her weapon, and accidentally grazed her ring finger during the scuffle with the dog.

The deputy suffered minor injuries, and the man was seriously injured. Both are being treated locally.

The dog suffered fatal injuries from the shooting. A Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said the deputy has 3 pitbulls of her own, and was very familiar with the particular breed.
