PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (WFLA) — A local deli owner opened her doors this Thanksgiving to feed those less fortunate.

Ronnie Pastrami’s Deli, in Pinellas Park, held their 1st annual Thanksgiving for the community.

The staff cooked for the last two days in preparation to feed others. Dozens were treated to Thanksgiving fixings like turkey, potatoes and pie.

Others enjoyed the past time tradition of watching Thanksgiving Day football.

Owner, Tracy Cordano said she wanted to give back in honor of her father, who always helped those around the holidays.

“He was around a lot of people who always didn’t have a place to go that were away from home. Years later he would rent a hall. When he passed over twenty years ago he had a band, 250 people on Thanksgiving day and it was a big deal to him, so it was just time,” she said.

Cordano plans to pack up the left overs and hand to go plates out to those who couldn’t make it in or those working around town who couldn’t get off.
