PALM HARBOR. Fla. (WFLA) – A Dunedin man was killed in a crash on Alt. U.S. 19 in Palm Harbor on Wednesday.
Investigators with the Florida Highway Patrol say a Jeep SUV driven by the 26-year-old man crossed the center line around 2:40 p.m. and hit a Ford pickup truck head-on.
The crash happened just north of Jeter Street.
James Boles, 28, of Largo was driving the pickup truck and was injured in the crash. He and a passenger were transported to Bayfront Hospital.
The crash closed both directions of Alt. 19 for several hours.
The man in the Jeep, who has not been identified, died after he was transported to a local hospital.
