(KRON)—Apple may be bringing back an old, but popular style of cell phones with their newest design.

On Tuesday, the tech giant was granted the patent to a foldable flexible display screen.

This is the newest released sketch.

Apple latest ideas could one day lead to a bendable iPhone much like the old school flip-phone.

The patent features a touch-screen smartphone with a design popularized by clam-shell phones, one that opens and closes like a notebook.

It’s unknown for sure if there is an iPhone flip-phone in the works, but Apple’s patents often provide a glimpse into what the company is thinking for the future.
