Clearwater school evacuated, police conduct sweep of school

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) – A Clearwater school was  evacuated on Wednesday morning and police were called to do a sweep of the school.

A Pinellas County School District spokesperson said that Calvin A. Hunsinger School was evacuated because of a safety threat.  Specific details have not been released about the safety threat.

Clearwater Police Department officers are conducting a sweep of the school.

Calvin A. Hunsinger School is located at 1863 N. Betty Lane in Clearwater.
