Winter Village to open in Curtis Hixon Park with ice rink

TAMPA, FL (WFLA) — Curtis Hixon Park in downtown Tampa will be transforming into a winder wonderland beginning this weekend.

On November 18th, the Winter Village will open, running through Christmas. As part of the Winter Village, downtown Tampa’s only outdoor ice rink will open.

The ice rink will be open daily from Nov. 18 to Dec. 25. Ice skating tickets are $12 per person for 90 minutes of skating. Tickets and skate rentals are available at the ice rink entrance in Curtis Hixon Park. The hours are:

  • Mon – Thurs: 4:00pm-9:00pm
  • Friday: 4:00pm-10:00pm
  • Saturday: 10:00am-10:00pm
  • Sunday: 12:00pm-9:00pm
  • School Holidays: 10:00am-10:00pm

A cafe will be open for snacks and holiday beverages near the ice rink, as well as a pop-up market with over 20 local shops so visitors can get some holiday shopping done.

The shop will be open Thursdays through Sundays through December 24th. The hours are:

  • Thursday and Friday: 4:00pm-7:00pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 12:00pm-7:00pm
