TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) — A Lakeland woman is $13 million richer after playing the Florida Lottery.
Diane Darty, 57, of Lakeland, claimed the $18 million FLORIDA LOTTO® jackpot from the drawing held on November 2, 2016.
Lottery officials say she chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $13,116,440.45.
Darty purchased her jackpot-winning FLORIDA LOTTO ticket from 7-Eleven, located at 6175 South U.S. Highway 98 in Lakeland.
The retailer received a bonus commission of $90,000 for selling the jackpot-winning FLORIDA LOTTO ticket.
