LUTZ, Fla. (WFLA) – A Dade City man is in jail Wednesday night after he was accused of filming up a woman’s dress at Tampa Premium Outlets in Lutz.
Last Thursday, the victim, who didn’t want to be identified, was working in the Billabong store. The victim said she didn’t pay much attention to the suspect, who she thought was a customer.
“She caught him in the act. He was putting his cell phone underneath her dress and recording up to record her undergarments for sexual arousal or gratification,” Sergeant Dean Quinlan with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said.
Stacey Nance, general manager of the Tampa Premium Outlets, said: “The safety and well-being of our shoppers, retailers and employees is our top priority. Since this incident is now in the hands of the Pasco County Sherriff’s Office, please reach out to them for further information.”
Markus Grant who goes by “Boo Rat” on his arrest report was arrested Tuesday. Investigators said they used surveillance video to identify him.
“It’s a felony. Depending on his previous charges, it would depend on a judge and a jury if it went that far,” Quinlan said.
Grant is no stranger to police. His rap sheet includes 10 arrests since 2009. The charges include indecent exposure around children, violating probation for exposure of sexual organs, and domestic battery.
Grant had his first appearance in court Wednesday. He’s being held on a $10,000 bond.
