Congressional District 11: Webster wins re-election to Congress – in new district

UPDATE: Daniel Webster is heading back to the U.S. House. The congressman will represent a new district.

PREVIOUS STORY: (WFLA) – Current U.S. Rep. Daniel Webster is looking to remain in Congress. Webster currently serves as Florida’s representative for the 10th district.

However, when the lines were redrawn, he entered the race to represent Florida’s 11th Congressional District.

Webster, a Republican, faces Dave Koller, a Democrat, and Bruce Ray Riggs, an independent.

The district’s incumbent Republican congressman, Richard Nugent, is not running for re-election. The 11th Congressional District includes Citrus, Hernando and Sumter counties, in addition to parts of Lake and Marion counties. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
