TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – If you’ve got a kid who’s always wanted to play hockey, they can try it out for free this weekend.
USA Hockey’s “Try Hockey For Free Day” is this Saturday, November 12 at multiple ice rinks across the state. The event is part of the “Come Play Hockey Month.”
“Try Hockey For Free” gives free ice time for children who would like to try the sport.
Try Hockey For Free Day is a USA Hockey initiative in which 500 local associations across the country will encourage kids, ages 4-9, to come to a participating rink and try youth hockey as part of Come Play Hockey Month.
All locations will have equipment to loan to those who need it, although supplies are limited.
In order to participate, children must be registered at http://www.TryHockeyForFree.com.

- Brandon Ice Sports Forum: 10:45 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., 10222 Elizabeth Place, Tampa,
- Clearwater Ice Arena: 1:45 p.m. – 2:45 p.m., 13940 Icot Blvd., Clearwater
