SOUTH PASADENA, Fla. (WFLA) – Detectives say a body found floating near one of the boat docks at a boat dealership in South Pasadena on Monday morning was that of a man who went missing on Sunday night.
Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the MarineMax boat dealership around 7:38 a.m. on Monday.Someone had called 911 after seeing the body of an adult male floating in Boca Ciega Bay near a MarineMax boat dock.
The body was identified as 64-year-old Kenneth Curry, who was reported missing at about 6:25 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6. Detectives say the circumstances surrounding Curry’s death do not appear suspicious.
St. Petersburg Police Department officers were informed by a family member that Curry was last seen driving his electric mobility scooter near his residence at 568 La Plaza Avenue in St. Petersburg.
The St. Petersburg Police Department notified local law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for Curry and provided with a physical description of the missing man.
The cause of death will be determined pending the outcome of the Medical Examiner’s autopsy.
