Tim Kaine, Jon Bon Jovi host “Get Out The Vote” event in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) – Hillary Clinton supporters spent hours in line waiting to see Vice Presidential Candidate Tim Kaine and Grammy Award winning musician, singer and songwriter Jon Bon Jovi.

Around 8:30 p.m. Saturday evening, Jon Bon Jovi took the stage to perform several songs. Before introducing Vice Presidential candidate Tim Kaine, he took a moment to explain to the crowd why he is supporting Hillary Clinton’s campaign for the White House.

“These are trying times but anyone who tells you that this election is over; it is not,” Bon Jovi explained.

“We have to work very hard till the finish line. Till the clock runs out. So do what you can to make sure that your voice is heard and your friends and your families all get out and vote on Tuesday,” he added.

Moments later, he introduced Tim Kaine to the stage who talked about the importance of Florida in Tuesday’s upcoming election day.

“Florida is really important.  And here’s a thank you. You guys have already, more than five million of you have already voted in early voting.  That’s astounding,” Kaine remarked.
