ORLANDO, Fla. (WESH) — In the words of Jimmy Fallon: “#NewDetails.”

Universal Orlando released new details Tuesday about Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, the new ride set to open in the spring.

According to the official Universal Orlando Blog, the new ride will take guests on a tour of New York in a “flying theater” that can seat up to 72 guests.

The ride will begin in Studio 6B where “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” is shot. Guests will see clips from the show including the History of Rap and Lip Sync Battle and meet Hashtag the Panda, the show’s mascot.

Guests will also be able to send personalized thank you notes.

After a briefing, guests will board the flying theater and join Fallon on a race through New York City, passing landmarks along the way.

The ride will include cameos from Fallon characters, including Sara from “Ew,” and Fallon in tight pants. Steve Higgins, the show’s announcer, will also appear in the ride.

The Roots, the house band on “The Tonight Show,” will provide the ride’s original score.

“Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon” will also pay homage to the history of “The Tonight Show” with set pieces, desk props and suits from past hosts. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
