DELAND, Fla. (WESH) – Two DeLand women are accused of beating a man and then snatching his 7-month-old child from his arms.

Tykiera Thomas-Session and Drucilla Gordon, both 18, were arrested Tuesday after the incident occurred on East New York Avenue. Both women are charged with kidnapping.

The victim told police he had just visited with the baby’s mother and was walking back with the infant in a stroller when the woman jumped out of a van and attacked him, bloodying his nose and lip.

The women then snatched the baby and drove off, police said.

Gordon is the child’s aunt police said.

Police said the child’s mother found the baby at Gordon’s house and returned the infant to the father. The mother told police she had not given Gordon permission to take the child from the father.
