PSTA providing free rides to polling places

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL (WFLA) — The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority announced they will be providing free rides to polling places on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8th.

From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., registered voters can get a free roundtrip ride on any PSTA bus or trolley by showing a valid Pinellas voter information card upon boarding.

“Our residents have a lot of important decisions to make on Election Day and finding a ride to the polls should not have to be one of them,” said PSTA CEO Brad Miller.

This is not the first year PSTA has offered free rides to voting residents and will not be the last.

“We intend on providing free rides to voters on all future elections,” Miller said. “If we can help get more voters out to the polls and make their day a little easier, then we have served one of our many purposes.”

Riders are encouraged to prepare for their trip by identifying their polling location and which routes will take them there before traveling. For help with trip planning, riders can call the InfoLine at (727) 540-1900 or visit
