TAMPA, FL (WFLA) — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is working a scene under the I-4 westbound overpass at Orient Road, following a police chase.

Two suspects have been arrested at this point.

Deputies say the police chase happened when three suspects broke into a garage at 9825 Sorbonne Loop in Seffner to steal lawn equipment. A neighbor spotted them, and called the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies are currently looking for the third suspect.

The suspects passed by deputy cruisers as they were leaving the scene. Deputies followed them and a slow-speed chase ensued. The suspects tried escaping deputies, but became stuck in a ditch off I-4.

Two patrol cars appear to be stuck in the mud near the suspect’s vehicle.

Traffic is backed up on I-4 WB.
