Bucs, 3-4, host division-leading Falcons

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) – In an NFC South match-up Thursday night the Buccaneers are hosting the Falcons. Atlanta leads the division with a record of 5-3 while the Bucs are tied with the Saints at 3-4. Bringing up the rear are the defending NFC champion Panthers at 2-5.

This is the second and final meeting of the year between the Bucs and Falcons as Tampa won the first encounter on Sept. 11, 31-24. As a matter of fact Tampa has won the last three games between the teams.

The Falcons are coming off a 33-32 win over the Packers while Tampa Bay lost to Oakland in overtime 30-24.

The game features a high-scoring Falcons offense which leads the league with an average of 32.8 points a game against a porous Bucs defense which is ranked 25th in scoring defense, allowing 27 points a game.
