Dog missing after Temple Terrace burglary found, returned to owner

TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. (WFLA) – A dog that has been missing for five days after a burglary was located and returned to its owners, according to the BluePearl Veterinary Partners hospital in Tampa.

The burglary happened at a home in Temple Terrace on Monday. Makayla Nealer’s belongings were stolen and her beloved dog named Zeus was missing.

Zeus was found by a good Samaritan in a front yard in Temple Terrace and taken to the BluePearl. The dog was scanned for a microchip and that’s how they found who he belongs to, according to the hospital staff.

Nealer picked him up Saturday morning. Zeus is feeling fine and is happy to be home.
