TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – The race for president is heating up in Florida. Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton announced on Monday that she will host an early voting rally in Tampa on Wednesday.

Ashley Drive, northbound and southbound, will be closed from Cass Street to Twiggs Street from 1:30 to 4 p.m. because of the rally. See alternate routes below.

The Tampa rally will be the third Florida city that Clinton plans to visit on Oct. 25 and 26. She will hold early voting rallies in Coconut Creek on Tuesday and in Lake Worth on Wednesday.

Florida is considered a battleground state and both Clinton and Republican candidate Donald Trump have been making many visits here. Trump is scheduled to host a rally in Tampa on Monday, Oct. 24. You can watch a livestream of the rally on WFLA.com and the WFLA Facebook page.

No doubt, we’ll be seeing more of each candidate as the election nears.

Clinton is hoping musicians can use their star power to win over voters in the Sunshine State. Rocker Jon Bon Jovi will perform in Tampa on Nov. 5 to show his support for Clinton.  Jennifer Lopez will perform at a similar event in Miami on Saturday, Oct. 29.
