HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WFLA) – One person died and three others were injured when a scaffolding collapsed in Hollywood on Monday afternoon.
A Hollywood Police Department spokesperson said the scaffolding was 40 feet up along the side of the Hyde Resort and Residences building, which is under construction.
One worker died, two others were transported as trauma alerts to Memorial Regional Hospital and one person is in critical condition at a local hospital.
Two other workers were held in place by their safety harnesses. Both were rescued. They suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
Hollywood Fire Department inspectors, Hollywood police and OSHA are investigating.
