Eat at Joe’s is going to the dogs on Tuesday, Oct. 25, with a doggie kissing booth and a chance to find a forever friend.

Hillsborough County’s monthly Eat at Joe’s event at Joe Chillura Courthouse Square will feature adoptable dogs from the Pet Resource Center, in addition to food trucks and music. October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month.

All dogs at the event will have been microchipped, vaccinated and spayed/neutered. The dogs will be in the park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Hillsborough County’s Pet Resource Center adopts out thousands of dogs and cats every year from its headquarters, 440 N. Falkenburg Road in Tampa, and at special events throughout the county. The center is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Call (813) 744-5660 for more information or view online photos and details on adoptable dogs and cats.

Hillsborough County Commissioner Al Higginbotham created the Eat at Joe’s lunchtime event to increase patronage in and around the downtown’s Joe Chillura Courthouse Square. Downtown workers, residents and visitors are invited to bring their own lunch, or buy it at a local restaurant or food truck, and enjoy a break in the park.
