UPDATE- The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office released this statement on Tuesday afternoon-
“SUCCESS! Thanks to your tips and the many leads we received, CCSO deputies and detectives apprehended Michael Todd Marcum before lunch without incident. He is now in custody. Thank you, thank you, thank you to those who worked so diligently on this case and those who provided information that led to Marcum’s arrest.”
CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding an attempted murder suspect who’s considered armed and dangerous.
Deputies are searching for Michael Todd Marcum, 36, of Crystal River. Investigators say he robbed and stabbed a man in the throat at the B & B RV Park in Lecanto around 9 a.m. on Sunday morning. Marcum left the scene on a mountain bike.
The victim, who knows Marcum, was transported to Ocala Regional Hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators say Marcum, age 36, was released from prison on Oct. 8 and is registered as a career criminal.
Marcum has open felony warrants for attempted murder, false imprisonment and armed robbery.
Detectives say he is 6 feet tall and weighs 150 lbs. He wears his brown hair close-cropped and has brown eyes.
Marcum has very distinctive tattoos on the front and side of his neck. The front of neck tattoo is the word “Dirty”, which is also his street name, and the right side of his neck is some sort of demon. He also has a tattoo of a swastika under his left eye.
