TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Target announced shoppers will not be able to purchase clown masks at stores or online anymore.

Target said the decision was made after a string of disturbing clown sightings around the country, which buyers expressed concern about.

A manager at our local Tampa Target on Dale Mabry Highway told News Channel 8, “All clown merchandise has been pulled from our shelves.”

Even in the Tampa Bay area, there have been numerous clown sightings and incidents. Just last week two 14-year-olds were arrested after clown threats in Pasco.
