(WFLA) – Residents and visitors of the Japanese town Ono got a rare meteorological treat this week, NBC reported.
The early morning weather conditions had to be just right to blanket the basin around the Echizen Ono Castle in dense mist and make the castle appear floating on a bed of clouds.
The is the first time this year the stunning visual effect presents itself. It typically happens about 10 times a year. The cameras were rolling and the early guests were taking the magic of the scenery in.
One woman said she was ecstatic to see the spectacle. Another man said he came from 300 miles away just to see it.
