BROOKSVILLE, Fla. (WFLA) — Hernando County Animal Services offers $10 adoption special due to the overcrowded is currently overcrowded shelter. due to a recent seizure of 22 terrier mix dogs.
The shelter is packed due to a recent seizure of 22 terrier mix dogs. According to HCSO, these animals were removed from unfavorable conditions by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office and are currently safe at Hernando County Animal Services. Upon impound all dogs were scanned for microchips, dewormed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and weighed.

No animals were euthanized to accommodate the seized dogs. And now there are many adoptable dogs, cats and rabbits available now for only $10.
Hernando County Animal Services is located at 19450 Oliver St. in Brooksville, behind the County Fairgrounds. Shelter hours are Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
