Options for replacing your Samsung Galaxy Note 7

(WFLA) — Samsung Galaxy Note 7 users need to find a replacement immediately – and that does not include the replacement Note 7 issued by the company.

Samsung is stopping all sales of the device, due to concerns that the phones and replacement versions of the Note 7, are catching fire.

Here are options for you if you have a Galaxy Note 7:

  • Trade in for the Galaxy S7 Edge. It’s slightly smaller, but has a lot of the features of the Note, minus the stylus and iris scanner.
  • Use an older version of the Note. The most recent is the Note 5. There was not a Note 6.
  • Swap for a phone made by another manufacturer. The new Pixel phone by Google are coming out soon, or, if you’re willing to switch from Android to iPhone, there’s the iPhone 7.
  • Wait it out, if you have an old phone laying around the phones.

Whatever you choose to do, remove the battery from your Note 7 immediately.
