CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) – A fire damaged two units at a storage facility in Clearwater on Tuesday morning, prompting the temporary, partial closure of Drew Street.

Clearwater firefighters and firefighters from other agencies got the call at 9:30 a.m. at Uncle Bob’s Storage, which is located at 2180 Drew St.

Authorities closed a nearby stretch of Drew Street as firefighters battled the blaze.

A City of Clearwater spokesperson said two storage units were damaged by the fire, other units were damaged by smoke.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, but it does not appear suspicious at this time.
