Two puppies die in Tampa fire

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Two puppies died in a mobile home fire Monday. Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a mobile home park fire at 4801 E. Hillsborough Ave. around 3:25 p.m.

Heavy smoke was coming from the single-wide mobile home’s south end, officials said.

When firefighters entered the home they found the two puppies, who had been overcome by smoke. “Paramedics made attempts to revive the dogs using special oxygen masks and chest compressions but were unsuccessful,” officials said.

There was no one home at the time of the fire, and no one was injured.
