PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – A petit theft call ended with a generous gesture from a Pasco deputy.
Corporal Meddaugh responded to a home on Rohrman Road on Sunday. He learned that the two bicycles were taken from under a carport of the home. One of the bikes belonged to a young boy with a serious medical condition.
The 10-year-old boy used the bike as a part of his physical therapy regimen after a surgery on his leg. The corporal was outraged that the suspects took a bike from such a young victim.
After clearing the call, Corporal Meddaugh told his squad members he was going to buy a bike for the kid. His fellow squad members pitched in and the deputies bought a new bicycle from a Walmart.
They delivered it to the boy and his family. After the family thanked them, the deputies got right back to pursuing the leads to catch the suspects in this case.
