Westbound lanes of Gulf to Bay reopen after fatal pedestrian crash

Police say to avoid westbound travel

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) – Clearwater Police say they are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash on Gulf to Bay Boulevard near Duncan Avenue. Westbound lanes are closed for the investigation.

The crash happened at about 4:30 a.m. They say drivers should avoid the area, especially westbound travel.

Police say this is the second accident in four days in Clearwater where someone was hit and killed not using a crosswalk. The other crash was on Thursday.

The lanes reopened several hours after the crash.
